Alhamdulilah alathee a7yaana ba3da ma amatana wa ilaihil nushur.

Praise is to Allah Who gives us life after He has caused us to die and to Him is the return.

I try to open each of my days with this prayer, reminding myself of the finite nature of this life, the blessing that is another day and aligning my focus on all that really matters: to use this day as a means to edging that bit closer to a serene eternal existence (God-willing).
